Privacy Notice for Applicants
We are pleased that you are interested in our company and that you are applying, or have applied, for a position with us. Below we would like to provide you with information on the processing of your personal data in connection with your application.

1. Who is responsible for the data processing?

2. What is the legal basis for this?
The legal basis for processing your personal data in this application process is primarily Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR.
Under this provision, the processing of data that is necessary in connection with the decision to establish an employment relationship is permitted.
Should the data be required for the purpose of asserting or defending legal claims after the application process has been completed, the data may be processed on the basis of Art. 6 GDPR, in particular to safeguard legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR. Our interest in this case lies in asserting or defending such claims.
Where special categories of personal data within the meaning of Art. 9 GDPR are processed (e.g. health data), the legal basis is Section 26 (3) of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and/or Art. 9 (2)(b) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR.

3. How long is the data stored?
In the event of a rejection, applicants' data is deleted after 6 months.
Should you have consented to the further storage of your personal data, we will transfer your data to our applicant pool. There, the data is deleted after a period of two years.
Should you be offered and accept a position as a result of the application process, your data will be transferred from our applicant data system to our HR information system.

4. To which recipients is the data disclosed?
After receipt of your application, your applicant data is reviewed by management and/or the employees responsible for personnel selection. Suitable applications are then forwarded internally to the relevant department or the persons responsible for the respective open position. The further process is then coordinated accordingly.
Within the company, access to your data is generally limited to those persons who require it for the proper conduct of our application process.

5. Your Rights
You have the right to obtain information about the personal data we process concerning you.
If you submit a request for information other than in writing, please understand that we may ask you to provide evidence confirming that you are the person you claim to be.
You furthermore have the right to rectification, erasure, or restriction of processing, insofar as you are legally entitled to this.
You also have the right to object to the processing within the scope of the statutory requirements. The same applies to the right to data portability.
