Overview

A2 Milk

Discover A2 Milk, obtained from cows that naturally produce milk containing only the A2 variant of β‑casein. This unique genetic trait sets it apart from conventional milk, which commonly contains a mix of A1 and A2 β‑casein.
What makes A2 Milk special is its distinct protein composition. Unlike A1 β‑casein, the A2 variant does not release the peptide β‑casomorphin‑7 (BCM‑7) during digestion. A2 Milk can be used as a versatile ingredient across many dairy applications. It may also be incorporated into infant formula products, provided that all required EU compositional and regulatory standards for infant nutrition are fully met.

A2 Milk Applications

Dairy Products & Beverages

A2 milk’s distinctive protein profile makes it a valued ingredient in dairy products. Produced from cows that supply only the A2 variant of β‑casein, it differs from milk containing both A1 and A2 proteins. This variation relates solely to natural protein composition, including the fact that A2 β‑casein does not release the peptide BCM‑7 during digestion. A2 milk is used in products such as milk, yogurt, and cheese, offering a clear and consistent protein identity while maintaining the full nutritional character of dairy.
